When will the website be ready?

Et voilà, at last, we finally bring you a website. It has been a long time coming but due to how busy our physical store has been, we haven’t been able to focus on building the website as much as we would have liked. Being a family business and a niche company, we’ve had to prioritize some aspects more than others, but we’re very happy to finally bring you our online store.

Are you real Vikings?

The short answer is no! Viking was something you did, not something you are. The late 700’s to the early 1100’s is referred to as the Viking era. People from Scandinavia would go a raiding or go ‘a Viking’. At the time they would have generally been referred to as Norsemen or Norse raiders, not Vikings. Viking was the act of raiding.

Have you taken a DNA test?

Yes, we have. Fiona has strong Scottish, Norwegian and Icelandic DNA whilst Stu has Norwegian, English and Irish DNA.

Can you find me a Viking lover?

We sometimes think we started the wrong business with the amount of times we’ve been asked this question. Unfortunately, we are not a dating service and have no clue where to find you such a person. Sorry 🙃

Can I visit you in store?

Yes, you are more than welcome to! We have a physical store in the ‘Heart Chakra of the World’, Glastonbury, UK. We are visited by many customers from all over the world so you’re guaranteed a warm welcome with some exceptional customer service. There is no pressure to buy or rush to leave. Come and peruse our wares and enjoy our little Viking Kingdom at your leisure. If you’re lucky, you may even get to see some real-life Vikings wondering around the store too.

What are your opening hours?

These vary between summer and winter, please find the information listed above. We regularly update our opening hours, please find them here or on Google for future reference.

Do you make the mead yourselves?

No, not at all. We currently buy the majority of our mead from the UK but we hope to expand our range from other European countries by the end of the year also.

Are dogs allowed in the shop?

Apart from guide dogs, we don’t allow dogs in our shop because of Poppy 🐩. She may be cute and fluffy, but add another dog and she turns into a ferocious beast. NO DOGS ALLOWED!

Why don’t you ship mead outside of the UK?

Since Brexit passed in January 2020, we’re unable to ship alcohol out of the UK. Talks are in place to set up a ‘Free Trade Deal’ with other countries, however until such time, we are unfortunately unable to ship mead outside the UK until we understand the implications involved.

I haven't received my item. What can I do?

If you haven’t received an item yet, or you’re worried about your package not being delivered, please email us at [email protected] you order number and full name as the subject line. We will get back to you asap!

How do I clean/care for my horn/blowing horn?

Caring and Cleaning Instructions:

Wash the horn with warm water and a small amount of washing up liquid if required.
DO NOT place your horn in the dishwasher or leave it in hot water to soak as this will damage your horn beyond repair.
The use of a baby bottle brush may be used gently to clean longer horns.
Allow to air dry.
Store in a cool, dry place when not in use.

Can I choose which colour horn I want?

No two horns are alike, therefore we cannot guarantee any specific colour. However you are welcome to email us at [email protected] and give us your preferences, we will endeavour to pick your preferred colour. Alternatively, you can head to our physical shop in Glastonbury and choose your favourite horn colour yourself. 🙂

Do you ship worldwide?

Yes, we do. We use several couriers to give you the best value for money options to deliver your goods quickly and safely to you worldwide. Shipping rates will be calculated at checkout. The only product we don’t ship worldwide is our mead selection which is restricted to the UK at this current. Import charges may apply, we are not responsible for any import charges incurred.

Is there wheelchair access?

Yes there is wheelchair access. At Wyrdraven we take pride in making our shop accessible to everyone.

Can I be notified when ‘out of stock’ products are available again?

Yes, there’s the option to be notified by email when an item is back in stock. You must go to that item’s page and fill your details in the box provided. We will notify you as soon as the product is back in stock.

Are your payment options secure?

Yes, to the best of our ability.

We can accept payment via several different secure methods.

PayPal Payment Option: This offers its infamous PayPal Buyer and Seller Protection programme so you can safely make payments knowing that PayPal has you protected. We will not hold any of your payment details other than your email and delivery info, which we will need to ship your purchased goods to you.

Opayo (Formerly known as Sage pay) Option: This option is the same provider as we use for our card payments in store. We are fully PCI DSS compliant (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard) and take your payment security very seriously. None of your details are stored in any way whatsoever other than your shipping details which are required to be able to send your purchased goods to you.

If you would still rather not pay online, you are more than welcome to call the shop on 03330 116939 and we can take payment over the phone using our in store, Opayo card reader which is fully PCI DSS compliant. Again, none of your details are stored on our end, in any way whatsoever apart from your shipping details which are required to be able to send your purchased goods to you.

We do not accept cheques or cash in the post. We can only accept cash instore.

Does all your prices include VAT?

Yes, all our prices include 20% VAT.

Are all your products made in the UK?

No, not all of them. We try very hard to purchase goods and support UK businesses where possible but it’s not always easy to find what our customers want from the UK. We carefully select many of our products from quality retailers around the US and Europe also.

Can you tell me where you buy your stock from?

No, we cannot. We have been asked this question several times. We have spent over 12 years in this line of work, and spent many hours researching and accumulating our quality suppliers. If you wish to purchase goods like ours from elsewhere then we suggest you put as much due diligence into your research as much as we have.

Can you do me a deal if I buy more than one item?

Sorry, no, we cannot. The prices quoted on this site are the prices that need to be paid, in full, at checkout. We will however have sales or special offers on from time to time.
