Beautifully hand-carved Anglo Saxon Beech Runes, risted in windfallen wood from the beautiful Scottish borders.
This Anglo Saxon Futhorc consist of 33 Runes which include the 24 Elder Futhark Runes and 9 Frisian Runes. They were most popular historically between the 5th and 11th centuries, until the Christianisation of the majority of the Germanic countries came about, when Latin then began to be used as the written word.
Anglo Saxon Beech Runes:
- Beech wood attributes: Wisdom, good fortune, purification
- Material: Beech Wood. 33 Runes
- Origin: Scotland. From wind fallen or tree management wood. No wood is ever deliberately cut for the sole purpose of making a set of Beech Runes.
- Size: 2-3cm approx. Due to these runes being made by hand, no 2 sets of Runes will be the same.
