The Viking’s Blood Lancashire Mead is a fruity mead made from hedgerow berries and blossom honey.

‘˜The Viking Era stretched from the 8c to 11c with peoples coming from all over Scandinavia, the UK, Ireland, the Faroes and Iceland. Even settlements extending as far as Greenland and north-eastern Canada.

A ‘˜melomel’ (fruited honey} mead, made using blossom honey. It is wild fermented (no yeast is added) and uses only the yeast from the fruit itself. Fresh hedgerow berries (blueberry, blackcurrant and blackberry) are added during the fermentation process. Delivering this highly palatable, fruity mead. The taste of berries gives it a smooth and deceptive, almost alcohol-free taste ‘“ despite its percentage!
