The Bird Head Thor’s Hammer is an unusual Mjölnir pendant based on an original thought to have been found in Scandinavia during the early 20th century and probably dating from around the 10th century.
Unlike more traditional Thor’s Hammer pendants, the design incorporates the head of a raven or eagle, with the bird’s beak forming the bail from which the pendant hangs. The original piece was sold at auction in 2013 and is now held in a private collection.
Cast in lead-free pewter and handmade in Scotland, the pendant measures approximately 46mm x 36mm and weighs around 16g. Supplied on black waxed cord.
