If you’ve ever stopped by our shop and asked us about our favourite event on the Glastonbury calendar, you would have heard our absolute answer – GLASTONBURY FROST FAYRE! No doubt, it’s truly the best.

This year’s Glastonbury Frost Fayre will take place on Saturday the 30th of November 2024.

Starting from 10am officially opened by the Mayor at Mid-day at the Meladrome Stage (top of High Street) and finishing at 6pm. P.S. vendors will be setting up from 8am onwards and car parks fill up fast, so get here early to make the most out of your day!

The High Street will be closed all day for the event.

Cheers to a day of celebration and festive season, The Frost Fayre pictures a town centre free of vehicles, bustling with artisan shops, vendors, and lively entertainment. Essentially, there will be late-night shopping until 7pm. As night falls, the Christmas tree lights will be switched on, signalling the beginning of the Christmas season.

First coming to the Frost Fayre, and we were completely mesmerised. The energy was palpable, and the lively throngs of nearly twenty thousand people truly brought the town to life. Normally, I’m not one for large crowds, but Frost Fayre has made an exception. There’s an undeniable sense of joy and happiness filling the air. So, don’t let the crowd size deter you; it may be busy, but it’s entirely enjoyable.

Alongside the live music from five different stages, there are craft markets, art displays, and a variety of activities scattered throughout. In fact, a big part of the fun is wandering around and discovering hidden gems in specially designated spaces.

If you’re on the lookout for Christmas gifts, you’ll feel like you’re in “Heaven”  because it’s the ideal spot to find a one-of-a-kind present for someone special.

If you’ve been here before, you will know that parking can be an issue. Our best advice is to arrive early, snag a parking spot, and make a day of it!

The Glastonbury Frost Fayre officially kicks off at 10am, but traders start setting up even earlier, with roads closing to traffic by 8am. If you arrive before the official start, you won’t be bored—We’ve seen ALL the parking lots fill up well before the event begins! Consider this your heads-up! There will be entertainers, Father Christmas and his helpers, fairies, elves, fairground rides for children, Children’s Worlds crafts, shows and storytelling for our younger visitors. This year the Abbey will also host a two-day Medieval Market with free entry on both days. Don’t forget that our local pubs and cafes offer refreshments and a cosy spot for weary visitors. Plus, street vendors will have a wide array of delicious food and drinks to satisfy all tastes. There’s truly something for everyone!

We may sound a bit enthusiastic about Glastonbury Frost Fayre, and you’re right—we are! Why? Because it’s genuinely our favourite day of the year! No other occasion brings out such a sense of community, joy, and hope, especially after the challenges of recent years.
