This is a Germanic belt knife with spike and sheath as was commonly used from the late Iron Age up to the Middle Ages. 

Ideal for many uses including cooking, whittling, cutting herbs, pruning, skinning, etc. A sharp knife with accompanying spike, that can be safely carried in it’s leather sheath and hung from a belt or worn as you like.
