Giljagaur, or Gully Gawk is the second wanderer of the Thirteen Yule Lads that comes slipping into the world on the 13th of December. Born of frost and shadowed ravines, he moves through the land like a pale whisper, lurking in mountain gullies where the winter wind howls his name.

When darkness deepens and farmsteads fall quiet, he steals into the cowsheds on silent feet, drawn by the warm scent of fresh milk. There, beneath the watchful eyes of slumbering beasts, he skims away the richest cream,  the gleaming froth crowning the pail,  leaving behind only the faint echo of a chuckle and the cold breath of mischief and a small gift in waiting shoes if you are lucky.
