On the night of December 23rd, Ketkrókur – Meat Hook, slips from shadowed rafters, his long hook reaching silently for smoked lamb and other meats hanging or laid upon the table. Clever and relentless, he steals without a trace, a ghostly trickster of hearth and larder.
Before he vanishes into the winter darkness, he leaves a small gift in the shoes of well-behaved children, a token of his cunning Yuletide mischief.
