This beautifully etched knotwork Dane axe with Norse Dragon design on both sides of the blade, was a typical shape and style of axe used during the Viking Era. Whether it was for building houses or for battle, this style of axe was a popular and versatile axe used during this time.
The carbon steel blade is hand forged in the Peterson Type G classification of axe and comes with an Ash wood handle.
This axe is for decorative purposes only and is not battle-ready although is ideal to complete any Viking outfit as a prop.
