Krampus’ Lancashire Mead

Krampus’ Lancashire Mead is a warming mead with all the ingredients of Yule. Including festive spices of the original Ægir recipe, it produces a unique taste identical to that of mince pies!

‘˜Krampus is a horned character, sometimes described as the ‘˜anti-santa’. A demonic looking figure who comes to visit naughty children at Yuletime. The jangling of his chains and bells can be heard coming from miles away. He was often used to terrorise children into behaving by telling them Krampus would come and visit instead of Santa if they didn’t behave. Krampus and the annual Krampus Run is still acknowledged in many Alpine towns across Europe, with his popularity spreading wider afield nowadays.’

Best served at room temperature or warmed like a mulled wine. Also an excellent, flavoursome addition to chicken and fish dishes, stir-fry’s or cakes.
