The quaich, originally thought to be carved from wood in Scotland, was once used to make a toast, welcome a guest to your home with a wee dram of whisky or to bid them a safe journey when they left. Since the 17th century they have more broadly been used at christenings, weddings, funerals or generally anywhere that it requires a toast to the living or the dead. Similarities to the quaich are believed to be the Kuksa, carved by the Sami peoples of northern Scandinavia and still in use today.

Care instructions: DO NOT place in a dishwasher or microwave! Hand wash only. Dry with a soft, lint free cloth.
