Scruffy and lean from a life spent haunting hearths, Pottasleikir, the Pot-Scraper, arrives on the dark night of December 16th. Slipping through kitchens like a drifting ember, he seeks the hidden treasure clinging to the bottoms of pots and the rich scrapings left behind after feasts. Cunning in his craft, he’s known to trick unwary children into abandoning their bowls, only to swoop in and claim the last delicious morsels. In the quiet hours, when the fire burns low, Pottaskefill prowls, ever hungry for the remnants of the meal before leaving. The only trace of his presence is the gift left in a shoe on the windowsill outside.
