The Seax of Beagnoth or Thames Seax is a 10c Anglo-Saxon find, found in a Thames estuary, England in 1857. The original was ornately decorated with various patterns in copper, brass and silver wire. On one side of the blade is inscribed the entire Anglo-Saxon Runic Alphabet whilst on the other is the word Beagnoth, suspected to be the name of the owner or the smith that forged it. It is one of only a few ever found with inscriptions on the blade. Others found of that time had inscriptions found elsewhere.
The original can be viewed in the British Museum in London.
