Stúfur, the littlest of the Yule Lads, may be small in stature but woven through with the wild magic of mischief. Arriving on the 14th of December, no taller than a hearth-stool, he scampers with the swiftness of a winter sprite, darting through shadows where even moonbeams struggle to follow.

His delight lies in the humble pans of mortals. Not for their shine, but for the enchanted treasure that clings to them, the crisped remnants of feasts long finished. When night gathers and the household sleeps, Stúfur slips beneath doors and over tabletops, nimble as a flickering ember, to claim the forgotten crusts.

Often he must scramble and clamber, reaching for great iron pans far larger than himself. These antics, half-comic and half-mythic, echo softly through the night: the tiny grunt of effort, the scrape of metal shifting, the triumphant rustle as he secures his prize before leaving a gift in the shoes left on windowsills.
